New EPA Rules drive up energy costs, destroy jobs with dubious benefits
Air quality has improved dramatically in America since 1980. According to the EPA nitrogen dioxide emissions are down 40%, sulfur dioxide dropped by 56%, and lead emissions by a whopping 96%. And, these improvements happened while the population grew by 22% and energy consumption jumped 19%.
Obama Re-election Plan: "Kill Romney"
There are reports today that the Obama camp is throwing in the towel; giving up even pretending that the President deserves re-election based upon his record. According to Politico.com, "the candidate who ran on 'hope' in 2008 has little choice four years later but to run a slashing, personal campaign aimed at disqualifying his likeliest opponent."
White House, Democrats wash hands of responsibility for downgrade
Bring out the finger bowl so the Administration and the Democrats can wash their hands of responsibility for the nation's economic woes.
Secretary of Treasury Tim Geithner was asked over the weekend if the Obama Administration was "in any way responsible" for the credit rating downgrade by Standard & Poor's issued last Friday. Geithner responded "absolutely not."
Signs of the Times

The Republican National Committee did some checking and found fourteen previous claims by Obama and the Democrats that they were really going to get serious about job creation and the economy.
KHOW with Craig Silverman

Questions in the Arena
Following are questions and my responses to recent questions for The Arena at Politico.com:
Health Costs to Double by 2020
Remember all those Democrats who said they voted for ObamaCare because it would reduce both cost of health care and the national deficit? Evidence continues to pour in confirming that those Democrats were played for fools. The latest shot across the bow comes from one of the governments own departments; the Medicare Office of the Actuary.
Another Environmental Radical at Interior
Believe it or not, something other than the debt ceiling debate is going on in Washington. Yesterday, the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee held a confirmation hearing for Rebecca Wodder, the Obama nominee to be Assistant Secretary for Fish, Wildlife and Parks for the Department of the Interior.
