More on the Rising Healthcare Costs: Either he's stupid, or a liar
Last week we reported that a newly released study by Kaiser Health projects that health care costs will double by 2020. Further, Kaiser says that ObamaCare will drive costs higher than if the government had done nothing, which is completely contrary to claims made by the President and his Democrat lieutenants.
Tip-of-the-Hat: Marijo Tinlin author: How to Raise an America Patriot
It seems that for at least a generation that parents and pundits alike have lamented a gradual drifting away from the American patriotism of bygone eras. Sometimes we blame schools for not teaching social studies and American History. Others suggest it's a cultural thing and that American's have just gotten too soft and complacent.
In some circles it has become fashionable to downplay America's rich heritage and her greatness. American Exceptionalism is derided, even by our President.
Tip of the Hat: Navy SEAL Team 6
It feels a lot like the awe you had as a little kid for Superman, except that these guys likely are stronger than a locomotive and able to leap tall buildings.
Tip-of-the-Hat: Vitter, Paul offer Anchor Baby Reforms
The 13th, 14th, and 15th Amendments to the Constitution were ratified in the immediate aftermath of the Civil War. The 13th Amendment abolished slavery. The 15th guaranteed voting rights regardless of race. Neither created any controversy or confusion.
However, tortured interpretations and a liberal social agenda regarding immigration have made the 14th Amendment a source of increasing turmoil. Senators David Vitter (R-LA) and Rand Paul (R-KY) are proposing legislation to settle the controversy.

Good News of the Month (Sort of, anyway): Tax Rates Get Extended
For all the talk of bipartisanship and working-across-the-aisle, on the rare occasions when it actually happens, it often is ugly – and expensive. Such was the case with the issue created by the scheduled expiration on December 31, 2010 of the current tax rates created by the so-called Bush Tax Cuts of 2001 and 2003.
The Good News is that after all the wrangling and name-calling, Congress extended the current rates. However, as with all political compromises, there was some bad news that came with it.
Tip-of-the-Hat: 2010 – The Year of the Tea Party
Nancy Pelosi called them “astroturf.” Barack Obama said he was “amused” by them. King George III was originally dismissive of their original namesakes, too. The naysayers were all proven wrong in the end, as the will of the people prevailed.
The greatest political force in America today is those engaged – and enraged – citizens, collectively referred to as the Tea Party.
